Insurance Plan for Non-Profit Cemeteries
AFFORDABLE AND CONVENIENT
Including Directors and Officers
James-Campbell has recognized the need to offer an affordable non-profit cemetery program that includes Directors and Officers coverage. Non Profit Entities may be the most vulnerable corporate structure because unlike public and private companies, non-profit entities do not have easy access to capital to protect the board or officers if a claim is made against them. As directors and officers of non profit entities you are volunteering to give guidance and direction and may not realize the personal expense if a claim is made.
With Non-Profit Directors and Officers coverage, the directors and officers of the cemetery board can make decisions and help the entity fulfill the goals and objectives they set out to accomplish without fear of personal financial disaster.
Coverage for Non-Profit Cemeteries
- Directors and Officers liability
- Vandalism to tombstones included to a maximum limit of $50,000 per occurrence and $5000 per item
- Replacement Cost – same site requirement deleted
- Building damaged by theft
- Glass breakage
- Bylaws
- $2 million liability limits
This program is designed specifically for non-profit cemeteries in Ontario.

- Does anyone else depend on you financially, such as a parent, grandparent, brother or sister?
- If you are single parent, what level of support payments are you making or receiving? How would these be maintained in the event of the contributor's death?
- If you have a mortgage on your home, do you want it paid off in the event of your death?
- If you have children, do you want to put aside money to complete their education in the event of your death?
- Are there any other family members or organizations to whom you would like to leave money?
- Could life insurance play a role in business or farm succession plans?
- Could life insurance play a role in paying the taxes incurred when capital property is transferred from one generation to the next?
